Choosing a conductor rail

The choice of rail is based on the study of the anticipated train service pattern, sub-station spacings and the required voltage drops. This will give the correct conductor rail resistance for your system. Maximum system current draw must be verified so that the conductor rail electrical rating is not exceeded.
